DCP creation from your ProRes master.
Screening at a festival or a cinema? Send us a link to your ProRes master and we’ll send back a cinema-ready DCP: SMPTE, 2K or 4K, 5.1 or stereo, colour converted properly and verified before it leaves us.
£4.00 a minute, £75 minimum, VAT included. Your card is only charged once we accept the job.
What you get
SMPTE DCP
The current cinema standard, unencrypted and ready to ingest on any modern cinema server. Interop on request for older venues.
2K or 4K, Flat or Scope
Your master placed correctly in a Flat or Scope container: 1998×1080 or 2048×858 in 2K, 3996×2160 or 4096×1716 in 4K, with nothing cropped that shouldn’t be.
Colour converted properly
Rec.709 Gamma 2.4 to cinema colour (XYZ), so the picture on the big screen matches the grade you signed off, not a washed-out version of it.
5.1 or stereo
Your 5.1 mapped to the cinema channel order, checked channel by channel, or your stereo mix placed correctly. Any extra stereo tracks left out.
Named to the standard
A composition name in the Digital Cinema Naming Convention, so projectionists can find your film on the server at a glance.
Played and verified
Every DCP is played through and run through a SMPTE verifier before it goes back to you.
Your finished master
Export it from whatever you edited in. We make the DCP from the file exactly as you send it, so it should be the final, signed-off version.
- ProRes 422 HQ or 4444, as a .mov
- The film’s native resolution: 1920×1080 for a 2K DCP, 3840×2160 or larger for 4K
- 24 or 25 fps. If yours is 23.976, export it at 24 or tell us first
- Graded as Rec.709 Gamma 2.4, the normal broadcast and web standard
- 5.1 embedded on channels 1–6 as L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs, or a stereo mix on 1–2

Your film is treated as confidential: only the editor making your DCP sees it, it is never shared, and the master and the DCP are deleted from our drives 7 days after we deliver.
