About Flayr FX Project Notes
Client feedback, render settings, font names, the thing you must not forget on Monday. Flayr FX Project Notes keeps it all in a dockable panel next to your timeline, and saves it inside the .aep, so the notes travel with the project to whoever opens it next.
What it does
- Notes: a roomy text area that saves into the project as you work.
- A separate, tickable to-do list: add with Return, tick when done, double-click to edit, hide or clear the done ones.
- Link a to-do to a comp: tick “Link comp” and the to-do remembers the comp and frame. One click takes you back there.
- Save as a text file: notes and to-dos, neatly laid out, saved next to the project for handovers and archiving.
- Email: opens a new email in your mail app with the notes in the body, ready for the producer or client.
- Backed up: a copy is kept in your user folder in case a project is closed without saving.

Installing
Unzip, then in After Effects choose File › Scripts › Run Script File and pick the installer. Restart After Effects and open the tool from the Window menu. Works on Mac and Windows, After Effects 2022 and later.
